Travel Times

"No I'm not going!" my mother concluded stubbornly.
"Please Mom," I said "I want to go see my friends, family, and even Tobi the dog."
Our argument was just going back and fourth like a game of ping-pong. Finally she said "Okay."
Alright so let me explain everything. We were stuck in Belgium. We could either take a plane straight to Poland [my family's dream vacation] or go home. The problem with going to Poland is that we had to split up. There was only room for my mom and my two siblings on the plane. My dad and I had to take a plane later. My mom had finally agreed to go.
     "Goodbye," I said.
She looked back for a moment to say "Bye."
My siblings were waving like crazy while screaming,"See you later!"
As they left I wondered if this was all really worth it. I came to the conclusion that it was. I wanted to feel the soft fur of my puppy Tobi. I wanted to go fishing with my friends. I wanted to do all these things like in the past.Secretly I knew my mom would've gone because she loved Poland for a different reason.
It was just me and my dad in the Belgian airport. We checked the listings for the planes and the next one to Warsaw, the capital of Poland, was in five hours. We wandered around the airport in the meantime. We bought bologna and bread to make sandwhiches and saw the art posted all over the place. Finally the time came and we went to check into the plane. The flight attendent told us there were two more seats. Just enough for the two of us so we hopped on.
In Warsaw we were shocked no more planes were going to my mother and father's hometown.
"What will we do?" I asked.
"The only option is take a train," my dad said.
I was horrified. The train ride would take a long time. However I was determined to see my mom.
The train ride was long just like I expected and it was also boring. The seats were hard and uncomfortable to sit on and we were stuffed in these little cabins with up to six people in them. Atleast the scenery was nice. Later on we were served bagels. I took one noticing I was starving. The bagel had a light amount of butter on it which made it the best meal I've had since we left the Belgian airport.
I was snapped back into reality when I saw people waiting outside the window. The train had come to a stop. We got off and looked for our grandpa who was supposed to pick us up. Where could he be I wondered? At that moment my dad and I heard a familiar voice.
It was my grandpa! He walked up to us and gave us each a hug.
"Hi there," he said and gave me a bag of chips and a soda "It must have been a long trip so I brought you these."
"You have no idea," I smiled.
